8 Game Time Tips

Did you know: Super Bowl Sunday ranks second to Thanksgiving, for one-day food consumption in the U.S.  The U.S. Calorie Control Council and the Snack Food Association estimate the average Super Bowl watcher can easily consume 1,200 calories of snack foods.

Here are some healthy Super Bowl tips:
  1. Eat your normal meals through out the day.
  2. Move your body in the morning.
  3. Have a plan of what you are going to eat during the game.
  4. Choose one appetizer, put it on a plate, sit down to enjoy it.
  5. Eat one serving of meat, no larger than your hand.
  6. Say no to seconds.
  7. Have a 2-3 drink maximum
  8. Pick one serving size dessert, sit down to eat it and enjoy every bite.
Game time is 6:30 p.m. which is dinner time, so think of the food consumption as the size of a normal dinner meal and choose wisely. May the best take home the trophy!
